“Phantasm” It’s No Illusion
By Jenna Croyle

This week’s featured band’s high energy and progressive crowd pleasing sound is certainly not a figment of any ones imagination as their name might suggest. Comprised of Steven Rosplock, Jay Yachetta and Aaron White, Phantasm dominates any stage with their progressive and unconventional instrumentals, live looping and improvisation that expands the mind and provokes the imagination.

A Rootin’ Tootin’ Good Time
By Dan and Alison Tingley

Television had its westerns like Bonanza and Gunsmoke. Spaghetti westerns played on the movie screens. Today, the westerns we love are alive on stage. Snake –Eye Sam’s Saloon Showdown is now at the Station Dinner Theatre and Tavern. The production is a show within a show; Snake-Eye Sam and the Saloon Players play themselves as well as other characters, so each actor has at least two roles. In addition, they serve all the food in character and interact with the audience...Read More

  Weird Ways to Get Healthy
By Lucy Danziger

We all have days when we feel tired, even a little lazy. There’s nothing wrong with a little time to “reboot”—which is my way of saying it’s OK to laze on the sofa and eat chocolate-chip cookies with your fam. If you love to chill, take heart: You can still be healthy! Try these ridiculously simple ways to better your brain and body without doing much of anything at all...Read More

Translation Technology May Let Humans Speak With Dolphins

Researchers have begun to create a new technology that could soon allow humans and dolphins to talk to each other.

Dolphins have long been considered by scientists to be the most intelligent animals on the planet (aside from humans, of course). But soon, with the help of newly developed underwater translation software, our two species may actually be able to talk to each other...Read More

Joke of the Week

The Cat comes back...

A farmer and his old cat are sitting on the porch together, and the farmer wants to put the cat "out to pasture" since it is about to die....he decides to take it to the nearest meadow and let it loose.

He drives to the meadow away from his house and lets the cat loose and says goodbye. When he gets back home, he can't believe it but he sees the cat calmly sitting on the porch, as it has found it's way back before he did.

So, he takes the cat far way to another meadow, and again this time after he drives all the way back he once again amazingly sees the cat sitting calmly on the porch..

Sooooo, this time he drives to another state and turns the cat loose in a beautiful meadow. After he says goodbye, he gets in the car and heads back... however, when he is halfway home he stops to call his wife at home. He asks her "is the cat there??".... his wife says YES - so the man says, PLEASE PUT HIM ONE THE PHONE - I'M LOST AND I NEED DIRECTIONS
