This Event Has Been Canceled. Saturday, April 29 from 10am to noon
The Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier (LEAF) invites the community to celebrate Arbor Day by visiting LEAF (1501 W 6th St, Erie) on Saturday, April 29 from 10am to noon and picking out a tree to plant at home! A selection of 2-4ft tall trees in pots will be available for purchase, including limited quantities of oak, hemlock, white pine, tulip magnolia, and sugar maple. Admission to the sale is free. Trees in pots will be available for a $10 fee. 50% of the purchase price of each tree will benefit LEAF’s educational programs.
Trees add value to our homes, offer welcomed shade in the summer, and provide nuts and berries for animals. Arbor Day is an annual observance that celebrates the role of trees in our lives and promotes tree planting and care.
