Country with Rock’n Soul

Starting as far back as the 1920’s, Country Western has always been an American music favorite, blending and evolving into many sub genres over the years.

In the aftermath of the British Invasion in the late 1960’s, many desired a return to the “old values” of Rock N’ Roll, while at the same time there was a lack of enthusiasm in the country segment for Nashville-produced music. What resulted was a backlash within separate genres, creating a crossbred genre known as country rock.

Today, Country music has grown in such popularity, that it is the most listened to rush hour radio genre during the evening commute, and second most popular in the morning commute.

With that same aggressive pursuit as many of the Country Rock pioneers, this week’s featured musicians, the American Ride Band conquers the Erie County music scene as our local Outlaw Country and Southern Rock kings.

The American Ride Band hits the stage of every show they play with unbridled energy and the hard-hitting sounds of both the latest top 40 country hits along with a great mix of our favorite classic dance tunes that we all still love to groove and move to.

This six-piece explosion of Country Music Greatness is made up of Henry Randazzo on Percussion, Johnny Fetzner on Bass, Matt Bennett on Keyboards,  and Dan Shreve on Lead Guitars, with Chuck Alexander as the frontman and Lead Singer.

Featuring rhythmic baselines that ooze with passion, a Keyboard player that sets the old 88’s a blazing and a lead Guitarist that seems to hit the notes of each song with symbiotic harmony with pile driving riffs along with a Drummer that has all the right chops, makes The American Ride Band arguably the tightest Country music force in Erie today.

Chuck Alexander’s electrifying vocals are simply stellar, perfect for the music of the band and indeed putting him among the cream of the crop of local crooners.

Consistently delivering the hottest, high-energy Country/Rock show in the Erie County area has earned this band the well-deserved reputation as the ultimate Redneck Party and Dance Band.
