Erie Film Festival Kicks-off This Weekend

The first edition of the Erie International Film Festival will kick off Friday November 28th, and run through December ERI Jams EIFF AD7, 2014.

Though most of the independent films that will be screened in this year’s event will be showcased online, the festival will host a live event from Friday November 28th and continue through Sunday, November 30th, 2014.

With more than 500 films submitted into this year’s competition from around the world including countries such as Israel, Germany, Japan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Tanzania, Thailand, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, and from every corner of the globe, more than 170 films were selected to be showcased in the festival.

Unlike other film festivals in our area which are genre specific, the Erie International Film Festival is wide open in subject matter with short and feature-length independent films of all lengths and genres, offering something for everyone, regardless of anyone’s particular cinematic tastes.

The Erie International Film Festival recognizes films of all genres that include global issue documentaries, screwball comedies, computer-animated movies, Action and Horror flicks, and video art along with everything in-between.

The Erie International Film Festival was created to offer the local Erie Community, along with the world an outlet for the passion of filmmaking and the excitement and creativity that Independent Film Offers.

Our Festival gives aspiring and veteran filmmakers alike the opportunity to present their efforts to a sophisticated audience and gain recognition beyond the local level, and present their works to the world.

Celebrating narratives, documentaries, experimental, Horror, and Animation films, the Erie International Film Festival offers the vast diversity of Indie Film as a true art form.

The Erie International Film Festival offers attendees quality films that develops their knowledge of Independent Cinema and enhances their appreciation of the art of film.
