Gannon University is bringing in the Christmas season by illuminating campus and shedding light on the importance of giving during this holiday season.
Gannon will host its annual “Light Up A.J.’s Way” event at 6:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6. The event will be sponsored by the students of the Activities Programming Board (APB) to fundraise for the Erie chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
A child from Make-A-Wish will flip the switch to turn on the lights decorating A.J.’s Way, located between W. Seventh and Eighth streets just west of Peach Street.
Both the Gannon and Erie communities are welcome to attend the lighting. Donations will be collected through Make-A-Wish stars. All are invited to gather in the Waldron Campus Center immediately following the event for hot chocolate and cookies.
