Get Ready to “Run for Your Life” in the 2nd Annual Zombie 5K
Hosted by the Erie Playhouse!
“Zombie Fever” is sweeping the nation and the Eerie Playhouse is no exception as it prepares to host Erie’s 2nd Annual 5k Zombie Run at Brown’s Farm on Saturday, October 12.
Participants can elect to compete as a zombie or a runner or just come and watch the fun – it will be a fantastically ghoulish time for everyone.
A Zombie 5K is a fun race that is 3.1 miles in length. Runners wear flag football belts with three “brain flags” and zombies try to eat their brains (take the flags) along the course. The runner with the most flags and the best time is the Winner. The zombie with the most flags is crowned the “Most Lethal.”
Additional Zombie prizes include Best Zombie Costume, which will be determined by the judges placed along the race course. Prizes will be awarded following the completion of the race.
The race kicks off at 9:00am with registration beginning at 7:30am. Zombies are required to wear make-up. Do your own or have one of the professional makeup artists on site do it for $5.00.
