This entire weekend Gimp Guy Underground Promotions and Alex Harilla have organized a total blowout mash up of the best Hardcore, Punk and Metal bands in town for a three night extravaganza that will rock Erie from one side to the other.
Alex Harilla and his Gimp Guy Underground Promotions has been one of the main driving forces behind the underground scene for nearly a decade, giving opportunities and booking shows and events that have fostered not only the no attitude, no problems, just music and good times philosophy, but the magic along with the musicians that has kept our scene real.
Offering invaluable support of our scene, Alex Harilla has not only kept the underground music scene alive, but also has been a significant force in its growth, and a key figure in its evolution.
The Mega weekend kicks of this Friday night at 9pm at the Beer Mug located at 1108 Liberty St, with a five band lineup of the hardest hitting Punk bands in town that include ” OH NO! it’s Mustard Gas”, “On The Cinder”, “Crazies”, “Radical Operations”, and local superstar musician JC Nickles performing his intense and wicked original music.
Blending Hardcore Horror Punk, Alternative Punk, Melodic Punk, and SKA Punk into the line up of the epic night of Punk power, GGU has created a fusion of the most extreme and raw original sounds this side of Seattle.
Still at the Beer Mug and at 9pm also, Saturday’s Metal mayhem slams into action with two powerhouse Metal bands from Cleveland, “Sunless Sky” and “Shades of Remembrance”, along with Erie’s own “iScream” and “ZO”.
Saturday’s lineup rocks the house with blazing instrumentals and tremendous Power Metal, along with Hardcore Groove, and Thrash Metal that is not only inventive and fresh, but devastating and supercharged as well.
