Long List of Fun Activities Highlight Edinboro Family Weekend
Edinboro University will host its annual Family Weekend on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26. Family Weekend provides an opportunity for students to share their Edinboro experience with family members. In turn, family members are encouraged to explore the campus and community as they reconnect with their student.
Numerous activities are planned for EU students to share with their families. Friday’s events include a 5 p.m. screening of the film “Grown Ups 2” in the Frank G. Pogue Student Center Scot Cinema and a 7:30 p.m. performance of “Avenue Q” at the Diebold Center for the Performing Arts. “Avenue Q” tickets are free for Edinboro University students; $5 for faculty, staff and President’s Pass holders; and $10 for general admission. For more information, contact the Office for the Performing Arts at (814) 732-2518.
On Saturday, students and families are invited to the Pogue Student Center Coffee Lounge Chat with EU President Dr. Julie Wollman at 9 a.m., Family Friendly Fun Zone at Standing Stones Plaza in the Highlands housing complex from 3-5 p.m., EU Planetarium show and museum tour at 4:30 p.m. and much more.
Of course, all are also encouraged to make their way to Sox Harrison Stadium at noon on Saturday to watch the Fighting Scots football team take on Slippery Rock University.
