Rock N’ Roll Fusion

Fusion music as a genre broadened the definitions of jazz, rock, and pop music. Herbie Hancock fused jazz, funk, rock with smooth tones to accomplish a new, rounder, more cultured sound for his band.
Bands such as Brand-X and Return to Forever as well as musicians such as John Abercrombie and Jack DeJohnette are among the great music fusion masterminds.
This week’s featured band, Main Street, takes a musical mish-mash of everything from the harder side of Rock, covering the music of Disturbed to the softer side with tunes by Journey.
Main Street is a four piece musical dynamo of an in your face, hard driving group of brilliant musicians that take their brand of Rock N’ Roll to new levels.
Main Street is made up of Erick Wong on Vocals, Carl Nowoczynski on Guitar, and David Volk on Bass with Bill Dailey on Drums.
With every show they play, Main Street has been entertaining Erie with their high-energy music that features howling vocals that reverberate song lyrics, making everyone shake and shudder, while the musical accompaniment throbs with every beat for a total heart thumping, pulse pounding show experience.
With powerful vocals, rhythms and riffs that blaze and a rock your world stage show, Main Street covers the music of legendary Rockers such as Styx, Breaking Benjamin, Journey, AC/DC, System of a Down through Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, Alien Ant Farm, Disturbed, Godsmack and many more.
Erick Wong belts out the songs with a power driven voice that dominates the stage and commands his audience, seemingly, with the greatest of ease, leading the audience as the pied piper of good times.
Every song has its own musical DNA, made up of three elements melody, harmony and rhythm. The licks of Carl Nowoczynski on Guitar and David Volk on Bass splice musical DNA, creating a supercharged melodic breed that captivates and enthralls the audience.
The monster chops of Bill Dailey keep rock steady beats that can handle challenging pieces of music with a combination of speed, accuracy and maximum control with a seemingly minimum of effort that produces very cool beats that energizes each song.
With a very high-energy show, Main Street creates a one of a kind dynamic Rock-fest every time they perform.
