Tabla for Two Comes to Mercyhurst
By Cindy Hemper
What does Art and Music have in common? The answer is, Abigail Adams Greenway, one of the great visual and conceptual artists of Erie who has now transcended the visual into the conception of musical Art.
On Monday February 10th at 8pm, Greenway along with her Tabla partner and musical mentor, Masood Omari come together as “Tabla for Two”, and will take the stage at Mercyhurst’s Walker Recital Hall for a very unique and avant-garde performance that is surely one not to be missed.
Much like her art, Greenway’s music in Tabla for Two is creatively inspired, and distinctively expressive as the duo offer a spellbinding creation of boundless music that is an incorporeal experience.
Please come back to E R I Jams Magazine next Thursday for a feature article and much more information on what will surely be one of the most captivating and artistically expressive musical performances that Erie has ever had the pleasure to offer.
