The Furry Lives Matter Pet Expo

The second annual Furry Lives Matter Pet Expo will be held on Saturday, October 6 from 3-8 p.m. at the Erie Day School, 1372 W. 6th Street in Erie, PA. The purpose of the event is threefold; to raise money for the Humane Society of Northwest PA, to educate the general public about the services provided by the Humane Society, and to weaken stereotypes and negative perceptions that often impede the adoption process.

The event will feature music by DJ Toom, food from Nunzi’s Restaurant, a Chinese auction, 50/50s, prizes for animal-related trivia, kids’ activities, including a bouncy house, and a Guess the Number of Jelly Beans contest. Vendors include Little T and Friends Pet Sitting Service, Crazy Monkey, and Coca-Cola memorabilia.

Animals will not be permitted at this event unless it is a service dog.

Last year, the event was held at the Boys & Girls Club and the money raised benefited three local animal shelters; The ANNA Shelter, E.A.R.S., and Erie Trap & Release.
