This Weekend’s Hot Spot

Strangers and Liars CD Release Party at the Crooked i

By Terry Pentelli

This Friday April 5th, the Crooked i located at 1013 State Street has set the stage for the much anticipated and long awaited musical unveiling of the year.

Starting at 10pm, the Strangers and Liars CD Release Party will feature the music of the “Five Seat Concert Hall”, the band’s hard-hitting album that has already caused a huge buzz around town.

As music that anyone can relate to, “Five Seat Concert Hall” lays down the lines, and pumps up the passions with creativity, boomin’ musicianship, sweet beats, and supercharged talent that screams solid gold.

With catchy and killer lyrics, slammin’ hooks, and bitchin’ rhythms, “Five Seat Concert Hall” is the musical trifecta, and Strangers and Liars is the four-piece frenzy of music and madness that takes you along for the ride of your life.

As a blistering example of what a band should be, Strangers and Liars includes Tommy Link on Vocals, Guitar, and Harmonica, Justin Anderson on Lead Guitar and Vocals, Russ Straub on Bass Guitar, and Tom Hitt on Drums and Vocals.

Friday night, get ready to rumble, rock, and roar to the new sounds of Strangers and Liars as they blow you away with vicious original Rock music that dominates the stage and rocks the house with songs like “Along For The Ride”, “Music In Your Soul”, and “Lick My Wounds”.

With a wicked sound and ferocious energy, Strangers and Liars turns up the heat, jacks up the jams, and pours on the party and guarantees the best night in town, and the smoothest tunes around.

In addition, the musical extravaganza will also showcase Scarlet Ledbetter, a powerhouse Folk Rock and Bluegrass band that blows the roof off any place they play.

Scarlet Ledbetter is made up of front man Keith Wilson on guitar and lead vocals, Dominick DeCecco on the mandolin and Tanner Edwards on the upright bass.

Blending a hint of Jazz and Swing and Rock, Scarlet Ledbetter brings the real deal of traditional folk music with an edgy Bob Dylan like feel that has inspired a fresh folk music revival in Erie.

With a sleek style, and shining talent, Scarlet Ledbetter brings the noise and drowns you in good times every show, every time.

This Friday night, stop what you’re doing, drop what you planned, and rock the block with Strangers and Liars and their “Five Seat Concert Hall” Release at the Crooked i for the biggest blow out bash this weekend.
