This Weekend’s Hot Spot

French Kiss, Hammersmith and A Bed Of Razors At Sherlock’s

By Terry Pentelli

This Saturday night, March 2nd Sherlock’s will host the biggest rock show of the weekend that will feature three of Erie’s greatest hard rocking and hardest partying bands with the show kicking off at 10pm.

Located at 508 State Street, Sherlock’s has spent more than twenty years making their bones on grand shows like the one this Saturday. Sherlock’s has earned the reputation with not only their customers of being the place for good times and that hard rocking, crazy party vibe, but with bands alike, from all over Erie and the region, for being the place to play.

With fantastic bartenders great servers, along with a top of the line sound and light show that when combined with the most electrifying music pouring off the stage of all genres, styles and sounds, Sherlock’s gets its crazy bash on, every weekend.

If you need a little break from the crowd, check out the pool tables, beer-pong table, dartboards, and pinball machines, but don’t worry when you’re ready to shake, rattle and roll again, Sherlock’s will make sure the house is still rockin’.

As original rockers of the 80’s, French Kiss churns out that Glam Metal with the same fire and high throttle energy that bands like Guns N’ Roses pumped off the stage back in the day.

French Kiss really knows how to crank the party up with smokin’ covers of incredible hits like “18 and Life” by Skid Row, “Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard, “Vacation” by The Go-Go’s, “Love Is What I Got” by Sublime, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns ‘N Roses along with “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Look What the Cat Dragged In”, both by Poison and many more hit tunes of the time.

Blowing the roof off every venue around town for almost thirty years, Hammersmith gives that supercharged old school energy at every show, with that never stop the rock vibe.

Giving unforgettable shows for whoever remembers the night, Hammersmith pounds out the hardest hitting rock songs from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today including “Outshined” by Soundgarden, “Enemy” by Godsmack, “Hellion” and “Electric Eye” by Judas Priest, “Wrathchild” by Iron Maiden, “Something in Your Mouth” by Nickelback, and “Firewoman” by The Cult, along with too many more to name.

With a high-energy Metal sound, salted with a heavy edge, A Bed Of Razors blares the original songs using insane guitar shredding, outrageous breakdowns, and most importantly, they do it all with that party hard attitude that infects everyone in the room.

A Bed Of Razors is an energy driven brute force power Metal band with off the hook music, dynamic lyrics, and devastating vocals that are pounded out in an in-your-face style that demands your attention and commands you to party hard.

With a line up like French Kiss, Hammersmith, and A Bed Of Razors all under one roof, on the same stage, in State Street’s hottest music venue, this is an unbeatable show, a can’t miss experience, and the best time you probably won’t ever remember.

Go a little crazy at Sherlock’s, and party right this Saturday night with the most wicked crazy party bands in town for the monster blowout of the weekend.
