Last weekend PACA opened its Christmas offering with “This Wonderful Life: A One-Man Show” starring the very talented Ken Falkenhagen, who brilliantly delivers a side-splitting, yet moving performance as every character that we know and love from the film.
As a very well put together stage adaptation of the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life”, “This Wonderful Life: A One-Man Show” walks you through the entire film, from start to finish as seen through the eyes of its story teller, Ken Falkenhagen.
Originally written by Frances Goodrich in 1946, It’s a Wonderful Life tells the story of a man, George Bailey who has given up his dreams in order to help others, and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody. Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched, and how different life in his community of Bedford Falls would be if he had never been born.
Located on the 2nd floor at 1505 State Street, PACA is a community based performing arts center & theater that promotes the widest variety of artistic events and happenings, along with educational opportunities throughout the year.
As a heartwarming and touching production, Ken Falkenhagen delivers an outstanding portrayal of the characters that include George Bailey, Mary, Potter, Uncle Billy, and of course Clarence.
For a wonderful addition to your Christmas weekend, this production of “This Wonderful Life: A One-Man Show” truly offers a hilarious gift that will bring both a smile to your face, and maybe even a tear to your eye, and is honestly the perfect way to start your Christmas weekend off, and really put you in the holiday spirit.
Remaining performances include this Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00pm, December 21st-22nd, with a special matinee this Sunday, December 23rd at 2:00pm.
