Win Beach Bums edited by Neil Plakcy from Cleis Press! To enter the contest, fill out the form at http://www.eriegaynews.com/news/article.php?recordid=201308beachbums&sourceid=2 between August 16 and September 6.

Lather on the tanning oil and get ready to burn

Soak up the sun and the studs with BEACH BUMS, an ocean-themed assortment of stories ready to take you for a swim. With bestselling selections for InsightOut Bookclub and a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award, Neil Plakcy brings us his hottest collection yet—and it’s not just because of the sun. Get swept up in a tide of guys and dip your feet into the hot sand with BEACH BUMS.

There’s a bum for everyone, whether it’s Luke who finds out that the best way to get over a boy is to get to the beach in Raven De Hart’s “The Ultimate Breakup Cure” or Delroy’s High school reminiscing-turned-skinny-dipping in Shane Allison’s “Hot Fun in the Summertime.” Kimo learns that sometimes in order to spice up a relationship you need to add a little something, or someone, extra in Plakcy’s own “Island Getaway.” The boys in this book let you take a vacation anywhere—so blow up your beach ball and spread the sunscreen!

“Pick any beach around the world, and you’re bound to find excellent eye-candy. These gorgeous guys are the stuff of gay fantasy—from sleek swimmers to muscular surfers and boarders to sun-worshipping naturists. Their skins are toned golden brown and their bodies shimmer with droplets of water.”
—from the Introduction by Neil Plakcy
