The Man with nothing left to lose discovers that his toughest challenge yet might just be learning to love again

Dan Stagg is an ex-military man who fell foul of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. He had a successful career with the US Marines and rose to the rank of Major, with active service in the first Gulf War, Kosovo and Afghanistan. Since 2009 he’s been back in civilian life, and is finding it very hard to adjust. Like Jack Reacher, Lee Child’s protagonist, Dan is prone to violence, always upholding what he views as justice. He has few personal ties, nearly no belongings, tries to live under the radar.

Jobless, living in Harlem, and broke, Dan is offered a great deal of money to do a protection job for the young protégé of a powerful real estate developer. But Dan quickly realizes that something strange is going on, and is forced to choose between the easy money—not to mention sex—that his new job offers him, and living up to the ideals of service and duty that he embodied in the Marines.

Why should he do the right thing—particularly when the army betrayed him? Dan finds himself playing a dangerous double game which will take all his combat skill and military training to survive. THE HARDEST THING is a sexy gay mystery as only James Lear can write it: filled with lots of action, romance, sweat, violence and conspiracy.

About the Author:
James Lear is the nom de plume of a prolific and acclaimed novelist. As James Lear, he is the author of The Back Passage, The Secret Tunnel, Hot Valley, The Low Road, and The Palace of Varieties, which have sold over 150,000 copies, and been on gay erotica bestseller lists in both the UK and the US. He lives in London.

Win Wild Girls Wild Nights: True Lesbian Sex Stories from Cleis Press

Enter to win Wild Girls Wild Nights: True Lesbian Sex Stories from Cleis PressWild Girls Wild Nights: True Lesbian Sex Stories. To enter the contest, fill out the form at http://www.eriegaynews.com/news/article.php?recordid=201308wildgirls&sourceid=2 from August 9 through August 30.

There are the fabled urban myths of lesbians who fill up a U-Haul on the second date and lead sweetly romantic lives of cocoa and comfy slippers. Safe and sound. A lot of cozy and not much crazy. These are NOT those stories—these are wild women with dirty minds, untamed tongues, and even the occasional cuff or clamp. And they’re all true!

Wild Girls Wild Nights: True Lesbian Sex Stories
Edited by Sacchi Green

These Wild Girls tell stories of their own Wild Nights (and days,) memories too hot to keep undercover. Real women with real needs and overwhelming desires find the courage to reveal intimate, unrestrained details of their sex lives, the need to share their stories second only to the urgent impulses that drove the action in the first place. There are first times, life-long commitments, and fleeting encounters to savor for a lifetime. Tenderness merges with edge-play; scenes shift from Caribbean islands to desert battlefields to the ultimate privacy of home; and the writers range from well-known names to newcomers driven to share fresh memories they’ll never forget. In Evan Mora’s “The Insatiable Travel Itch,” repression in public drives her wild. Angel Propps struggles to face her deepest desires. in “The Daddy I Didn’t Know I Needed.” Anna Watson, in “Tamago,” gives a poignant and sizzling view of being a lesbian femme who loves butches. Reality doesn’t have to be prosaic. Real sex can be wet, messy, frenzied, sometimes even awkward, but never boring. With these writers and seventeen more, Wild Girls Wild Nights: True Lesbian Sex Stories is the proof of that.

Sacchi Green is a Lambda Award-winning writer and editor of erotica and other stimulating genres. Her stories have appeared in scores of publications, including seven volumes of Best Lesbian Erotica, four of Best Women’s Erotica and four of Best Lesbian Romance. In recent years she’s taken to wielding the editorial whip, editing eight lesbian anthologies, most recently Lesbian Cowboys (winner of a Lambda Literary Award in 2010),Girl CrazyLesbian LustLesbian Cops and Girl Fever. She can be found online at sacchi-green.blogspot.com.
