Waterford Days, Celebrating its Heritage
Waterford Days will be celebrated on July 19, 20, and 21, 2013.
For almost 40 years, Waterford, PA has celebrated its heritage with a three-day event held the third full weekend of July.
Celebrating its history, heritage, and citizens with a variety of community celebrations, enjoying a summer event for an opportunity to showcase its community, its churches, non-profits, booster groups, businesses, and more. Originally started by the Fort LeBoeuf Historical Society, the summer celebration has been organized by a variety of people and groups over the years, all who have done a phenomenal job and deserve our praise.
Waterford Days originally known as Heritage Days began in 1974 under the guidance of the Fort LeBoeuf Historical Society. In those early years, much of the community and the crafters, dressed in pioneer garb to add to the event.
This event brings together community associations, booster clubs, and non-profits for a chance to build their coffers with the sale of great food, fun games, and raffles. Add to that the fabulous craft show featuring quality, hand-made products, and the annual antique show. The entire town typically turns out with community wide yard sales and so many other events. While strolling through the quaint park in the middle of town, you will also have the pleasure of talented, diverse entertainers performing in the Gazebo. The event will even include dancing in the street with live music, courtesy of the Stancliff Hose Company, Waterford’s Volunteer Fire Department.
Join a community that loves the heritage of its historical town while appreciating today’s modern amenities on July 19-20-21, 2013. Look for new twists to old events, plus a variety of interesting and interactive things for young and old.

In addition to the festivities in the park, take advantage of many special events around town including, Saturday Parade down Cherry Street; First Annual Waterford Days Horseshoe Tournament; Marian Russell Pie Baking Contest; Oliver Hazard Perry Mutton Chop Contest; Madyson Huston First Annual Tug of War Contest; Relay for Life Kid Zone at the Main Park; Historical Walking Tours; Antique Appraisals at Judson House; Book Signings at the Judson House; Re-enactors in Ball Diamond and behind Museum; Stancliff Hose Company Beer Tent and Food; Alumni Night at the Beer Tent; Children’s Talent Show in the Park; Movie Under the Stars – War of 1812; Masonic Dedication at Washington Park; Waterford Library Book Sale; Church in the Park; Three-on-Three Basketball Tournament; Chicken and Biscuit Dinner at the American Legion; Ongoing Entertainment at the Main Park; and Food and Festivities at Area Churches.
