JULIÁN HERNÁNDEZ’S STEAMY LGBT DRAMA I AM HAPPINESS ON EARTH
Breaking Glass Pictures Releasing Film on DVD/VOD This August
Breaking Glass Pictures will be releasing the LGBT Mexican drama I Am Happiness on Earth (Yo Soy La Felicidad De Este Mundo) on DVD and VOD (All cable providers, iTunes, Amazon Instant) August 19, 2014. The film is in Spanish with English subtitles.
Emiliano looks at his life with the eyes of a film director, mixing the objective reality with the processes of artistic creation. The story he is filming flounders with his daily life, until his world is trapped in the lens of his camera. Confused, always alone and in front of a screen, now a transfigured reality, but at the same time a measurable, controllable and manipulable one. He listens to a song on a loop: one of those songs you sing or repeat as a prayer and forcing you to remember, believe and convince yourself.
I Am Happiness on Earth stars Hugo Catalán, Alan Ramírez, Andrea Portal, and Gabino Rodríguez. The film will make its world premiere at the Frameline Film Festival and will play at Outfest and NewFest this summer.
Writer and director Julián Hernández previously directed the critically acclaimed film A Thousand Clouds of Peace Fence the Sky, Love, Your Being Love Will Never End. His other work includes Broken Sky as well as Raging Sun, Raging Sky, winner of the Teddy Award at the 2009 Berlin Film Festival.
Founded in 2009 by Rich Wolff and Richard Ross, Breaking Glass Pictures is a Philadelphia-based film distributor. With sister labels Vicious Circle Films and QC Cinema, Breaking Glass Pictures has released over 200 films to date.
