Get “On the Edge” with Love, Lost, and What I Wore
Opening on the Erie Playhouse stage in February
Get out your favorite heels, dress-up your classic “little black dress”, or lace up your favorite boots for a night of Nora and Delia Ephron’s, Love, Lost, and What I Wore, at the Erie Playhouse on select Tuesdays in February.
The play, a series of charming, light-hearted and at times poignant monologues, is performed on book, by five talented actresses seated on stools.
Love, Loss, and What I Wore, written and adapted by sisters Nora and Delia Ephron, is based on Ilene Beckerman’s best-selling novel of the same name. It initially hit the stage in 2008 at the Guild Hall in East Hampton, New York and that same year became an ongoing commercial theatre production at the Westside Theatre in New York City, where it became the second longest running show in theatre’s history.
With a rotating cast, the likes of Rosie O’Donnell, Kristin Chenoweth, Jane Lynch, Mary Louise Wilson, and Tyne Daly have starred in this Drama Desk Award winning show.
Director Susan Lechner has assembled quite an “ensemble.” Tracey Hall, as the narrator and show opener (Gingy), is sure to get the ball rolling with this powerhouse female cast that includes Kathleen Cahill, Sue EllenWojciechowski, Elizabeth Crandell, and Chris Sanner who assume multiple roles as women who open their hearts and closet doors to the audience.
