By Terry Pentelli

This Friday kick off the first day of Summer right at Coconut Joe’s, located at 28 North Park Row, with Erie’s Hottestfrenchkiss 80’s hair band, French Kiss for an all out blowout bash. The entire event blasts off at 6pm and keeps going like a runaway train on overdrive through 9pm.

As Erie’s hottest outdoor party place, Coconut Joe’s comes complete with a tiki bar stocked with the mixes for all your favorite drinks, set in a great space with a super cool vibe as a backdrop.

Coconut Joe’s has a large bar encircled by cabana huts and a large mingling area. There is also a large stage for live music from the killer bands that play the venue each week of the summer.

As well as a broad array of cocktails, Coconut Joe’s serves up great Philly cheese steaks along with smokehouse burgers and Pizzas, with happy hour starting at 4pm every Friday.

This Friday’s show marks the official start of summer and kicks off the outdoor music mania of French Kiss on the Coconut Joe’s stage, along with French Kiss’ balls to the walls, insane party vibe that just won’t stop.

French Kiss hits you hard right out of the gate with wicked covers of rockn’ hits like “18 and Life” by Skid Row, “Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard, “Vacation” by The Go-Go’s, “Love Is What I Got” by Sublime, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns ‘N Roses along with “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Look What the Cat Dragged In”, both by Poison and many more hit tunes of the time.

Made up of members David “Hollywood” Dunn on Lead Guitar, Trevor “T-Rev” Vogt on Bass Guitar and Vocals, Josh ” Roxie Love” Snider on Lead Guitar and Backup Vocals, Jeffrey Pixie “Styxs” Snider on Drums, and Jim “Jimmy Zig Zag” Sorrell on Lead Vocals, French Kiss always gives the hottest show in town, with 80’s Hair Metal madness of the bands they cover.

French Kiss always gives that true classic Glam Metal insanity and the best party in town everywhere they play, pumping up the party and cranking out the crazy with that classic Rock till you drop, party all night long attitude that you never forget.

Churning out the mega hits of the 80’s with the same Rock Star attitude as the bands that made the songs famous, French Kiss will “Teach Ya Howta Rock”.

Get ready to step into a time machine, experience a fresh look back and party like a villain to all the hits of the 80’s the way they should be performed, as this weekend’s hottest show and the most smokin’ hot band in town gives you totally bitchin’ Summer kickoff.
