This Weekend’s Hot Spot
Death Row Rock N’ Roll Show at Scooters
By Terry Pentelli
This Saturday November 2nd starting at 4:00pm until 10:00pm, Scooters located at 2802 Old French Rd, Erie, will be hosting a very special benefit for one of Erie’s favorite friends, Cathy Wattle Orzechowski.
As the manager of A & J Bayview Tavern, for countless years, Cathy welcomed everyone who walked into the establishment with open arms and always a smile, and kind words.
Making everyone who came in feel like they were a part of her family, Cathy Wattle Orzechowski created a home away from home for every customer and performer that walked in.
As a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, and Community member, Cathy has always treated everyone she met with kindness and respect, offering not only her family, but everyone in her life an open heart and a helping hand when needed.
After another long day at work, and closing the bar much like many other nights, at 3:00am Saturday morning, September 28th, Cathy was attacked, robbed, and was shot 3 times.
Still recovering in a Pittsburgh hospital from what was nearly a life ending assault, and 18 surgical procedures, so far, Cathy is now not only faced with the trauma and recovery from her injuries and the psychological suffering, but the great financial burden of the medical bills for her treatment, along with the future cost of any rehabilitation because Cathy has no medical insurance.
Now in both Cathy’s and her family’s great time of need due to this horrible and terrifying crime against her, a very special event has been organized to raise money to help pay for the staggering cost of this horrific ordeal that she and her family has been forced to go though.
As the kind host of this much-needed event, Scooters is Erie’s favorite biker bar featuring a fantastic menu at reasonable prices, along with bands every Friday and always a DJ on Saturday nights.
This Saturday’s event will feature a Chinese auction, tip boards, and a 50/50 drawing, along with other raffles that include a Primitive gift basket, a Mary Kay basket, a Wine basket, a basket from Bella Salon and Day Spa, a Movie basket, a Kat Candy basket, 3 detail coupons worth over $300 from Detail Concept, and various pieces of artwork, along with a life size Indian collectible, and more. The event will also include live entertainment by one of Erie’s hottest bands, Death Row Rock N’ Roll Show, and Erie’s number one DJ, Bill Page.
As the smoothest DJ around, Bill Page makes every show a real badass bash, spinning the maddest jams in town. Cranking out the best pulse pounding, heart throbbing music in Erie, Bill Page offers everyone who comes to an event he DJs the best hard rockn’ time.
Busting out the best balls to the walls, supercharged covers of hits like “Dirty Deeds” by AC/DC, “Too Drunk” by Buck Cherry, “Cat Scratch Fever” by Ted Nuggent, “Enter Sandman” by Metallica, “Mony Mony” by Billy Idol, “Walk This Way” by Aerosmith, ”Rock & Roll All Night” by Kiss, “Sweet Child Of Mine” by Guns N’ Roses, “Crazy Train” By Ozzy, and of course “Jail House Rock” by Elvis Presley, along with so many more, Death Row Rock N’ Roll Show brings the power, the passion, and the party to every show they play.
Please join E R I Jams, for the most in your face, brain scorching Rock & Roll experience this weekend, and come out and support a woman who has loved and supported our Community for decades, and her family.
This benefit is a +21 event and asks only a $5.00 donation at the door.
As the perpetrator of this terrible crime is yet unknown, if anyone who reads this article learns of any information that could help the police find and arrest the person responsible for this tragedy, please contact the Erie Police Department.
