This Weekend’s Hot Spot
Refuge at Sherlock’s
By Terry Pentelli
This Saturday, February 9th at 9pm, for the first time in a coon’s age, Sherlock’s has put together a grade A hootenanny for all y’all who got a hankerin’ for some good ol’ fashioned Country Music with Refuge Firing up the stage.
Refuge’s Rock’n Country style brings the backwoods to the City Streets, with hard driving good times with an intense and high-energy show that is gonna raise the roof on this honky-tonk.
Located at 508 State Street, Sherlock’s has spent more than twenty years making their bones on impressive shows like the one this Saturday. Sherlock’s has earned the reputation with not only their customers of being the place for good times and that hard rocking, crazy party vibe, but with bands alike, from all over Erie and the region, for being the place to play.
With master mixers behind the bar and great servers, along with a top of the line sound and light show that when combined with the most electrifying music pouring off the stage of all genres, styles and sounds, Sherlock’s gets its crazy bash on, every weekend.
If you need a little break from the crowd, check out the pool tables, beer-pong table, dartboards, and pinball machines, but don’t worry when you’re ready to shake, rattle and roll again, Sherlock’s will make sure the house is still rockin’.
This Saturday will offer more than just great drinks, killer music, and bitchin’ good times, as a special treat, the gals from Head West Outfitters will be partying all night and handing out free gift cards and other awesome prizes.
Located just off I-90 and Route 8 at 2309 Wager Road in Erie, Head West Outfitters stocks a fantastic selection of older western styles combined with an updated, trendy, look for the younger cowboy in all of us. Head West Outfitters also carries an amazing variety of assorted pairs of jeans including Miss Me Jeans brand, and even accessories like western purses and cowgirl jewelry, along with a wide selection of boots like Justin, Ariat, and Corral just to name a few.
Refuge is made up of Bob Williams on Lead Guitar, Marlay Shollenberger on Lead Guitar, Corey Williams on Drums, Ryan Eger on Bass Guitar and Vocals along with Dan Baney on Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, and Harmonica.
Refuge pumps out pulse throbbing style that is infused by hard pounding originals and Rock’n covers with the sound, intensity and showmanship of national acts.
With super high throttle Country hits like Brooks & Dunn’s “Honky Tonk Stomp” and” Smoke A Little Smoke” by Eric Church, “Crazytown” by Jason Aldean, and Luke Bryan’s “Rain Is A Good Thing”, Refuge Rocks the house and cranks up a wicked Country party.
Just to let you catch your breath for a spell, Refuge slows it down with songs like “Hillbilly Bone” by Blake Shelton and Keith Anderson’s “Pickin’ Wildflowers”.
With the sheer Rock’n Country gold, raging Guitar riffs, mad pulse pounding beats, and scary amazing talent, Refuge screams insane party and country magic.
This Saturday night Sherlock’s is gonna be hotter than a goat’s butt in a pepper patch, so get all gussied up in your best boots, Wranglers, and 10 gallon hats and bring the sugar cause Refuge is fixin’ to give you a granny-slappin’ goodtime when they invade Sherlock’s.
