Rock Done Right

Since the 1950’s when Rock N’ Roll was born, Rock Music has always been and shall continue to remain an evolutionary process, expanding the boundaries, developing into new sub genres, and most importantly, entertaining the world.

This week’s featured band, “Six Years After” has taken music yet another step on the evolutionary path, blending a classic sound with a very high throttle contemporary style that has given Alternative Rock a new face.

Though “Six Years After” has been together only a short time, the band has clearly mastered the art of “tight”, making the group one of the most entertaining in town, and surely among the top bands in the Erie area today.

Made up of Steve Mischler on Lead Guitar, Nick Liberatore on Rhythm Guitar, James Davis on Bass Guitar, and Glenn Davis on Drums, along with Steve Banta on Lead Vocals, this five piece Rock machine cranks out much of the best performed music in town.

As one of the most talented groups of musicians this side of Seattle, “Six Years After” churns out monster, supercharged covers of hits like “Diary of Jane” by Breaking Benjamin, “Black Dog” by Led Zepplin, “Show Me How to Live” by Audio Slave, “Heroes” by Shinedown, “Bat Country” by Avenged Sevenfold, “Wonderful” by Eric Clapton, “Everlong” by Foo Fighters, “Shine” by Collective Soul, “Wake Up” by Three Days Grace, and “Rooster” by Alice in Chains to mention only a few.

Steve Mischler offers devastating finger work, coupled with dazzling stage presence and true musicianship that not only pours out of him effortlessly, but also truly electrifies the music.

The Rhythm Guitar work of Nick Liberatore is nothing short of brilliant served with a supersized helping of charisma and topped off with intense rhythms and riffs, putting the groove in the music and the beat in your feet.

James Davis’ Bass beats are without doubt, pulse pounding, strong and powerful, while always very rhythmic and energized as he demonstrates his real gift for music and his passion for playing.

Glenn Davis on Drums offers the crowds spitfire chops that are consistently talent rich and hard hitting, while Davis’ enthusiasm and energy is simply exciting and overwhelming as he creates stick magic, show after show.

Without fail, Steve Banta is a very high-energy and charismatic front man, delivering strong and talented vocals with a stage presence that is consistently captivating and enticing. Banta is a full throttle rocker that never stops and always keeps the show on overdrive.

As one of our scene’s newest and most in your face, mammoth musical Artists, “Six Years After” is making tomorrows music today, and doing it in a style all their own with a fresh feel and a classic edge that guarantees their audiences a true Rock experience every show.
