This Friday February 15th the Avalon Hotel located at 16 West 10th Street, Erie will be hosting The Valentine Rock & Soul Show in the beautiful Avalon ballroom. The Valentine Rock & Soul Show will feature two of Erie’s power party bands, The Groove and Lucky Dog, both pounding the beats and rockin’ the room for Erie’s Second Harvest Food Bank.

The entire evening of hard-hitting Rock, Funk, and Soul craziness kicks off at 7pm and will jam through the Midnight hour with raffles and the sizzlin’ sounds of smokin’ hot hits.

The Avalon Hotel and Conference Center is located in the heart of Erie. There are 180 spacious guest rooms and 12 executive suites in this 8-story deluxe hotel.

Also in this star studded collection of musical giants, The Groove band members also include Tim Papotnik, Tony Ferrara, Paul Grenburg, and Jim Dowds.

The Groove lays down the smooth sounds and cranks out killer covers of hits like “Billy Jean” by Michael Jackson, “Living in America” by James Brown, “Mesmerized” by Ja Rule, “Shining Star” by Earth, Wind & Fire, “Fame” by Irene Cara, “I’m Looking for a New Love” by Jody Watley, “Ladies Night” by Kool & the Gang, “You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine” by Lou Rawls, along with “I’ll Be Around” by The Spinners, and of course amazing renditions of “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and “I Will Always Love You” both by Whitney Houston.

How you can top a night of music like that is easy, you add to the bill an all-star lineup of local musical superstars like Lucky Dog, bringing the noise and turning up the party.

Lucky Dog is fronted by the Kayti Stadler, the 2011 RockErie Music Award winner for Best Female Vocalist and an Erie Idol Winner. In addition, the band includes the phenomenal Scott Campbell on Vocals and Guitar, the incredibly talented Ron Sutton on Vocals and Drums, the extremely versatile and riveting Jack Belczyk on Vocals and Keyboard, along with one of the most devastating Bassists in Erie, Dave Sabatine, and the charismatic Mark Beery, who with a soaring and commanding voice that is both talent rich and powerful fills the Lead Male Vocalist slot, along with offering his killer finger picking skills.

Keeping you on the dance floor all night, Lucky Dog covers everything from the classics of Journey, Styx, and Pat Benatar, to the more modern sounds of Cee Lo Green, Lady Gaga and The Foo Fighters.

This evening of never ending tunes, jams and good times will have Lucky Dog opening the show and both bands alternating sets throughout the entire night for nonstop music. As a special treat, both bands will take the stage for a grand finale of this unbelievable night.
