This Weekend’s Hot Spot

“Drink Til’ You’re Irish” Bash at Doc Holliday’s with Refuge

By Terry Pentelli

This Saturday March 16th, Doc Holliday’s Country Bar sets the scene for Erie’s biggest St Patty’s Day blow out of the week with Refuge in the house kick n’ up a night of Rock n’ Country starting at 9:30pm.

Refuge is one of Erie’s hardest playing, and hardest partying bands with a pulse throbbing style that fires up a frenzy everywhere they play.

As Erie’s number one country-western saloon, Doc Holliday’s seems to have it all with the best music, the best wings and that good old-fashioned down-home county “glad to see ya, come in and set a spell” attitude, Doc Holliday’s Country Bar has the friendliest staff as well.

Serving everything from Buffalo Tenders, Onion Rings and Steak Quesadillas to Burgers, fries and even Pizza Fingers along with a great variety of tasty salads, Doc Holliday’s is doing a lot more right than just wings.

This Saturday’s St Patty’s Day bash is going to feature more that just the best hard driving Rock n’ Country music in town, the first 98 through the door, at 9pm will receive the official Doc Holliday’s long Sleeve St. Patty’s day shirt, along with being entered into a ticket giveaway to see Kenny Chesney and Eric Church live in concert, along with tons of St. Patty’s swag that will be given away randomly throughout the night.

As a supercharged, high energy Rock’n Country band Refuge is made up of Ryan Krysiak on Lead Guitar, Marlay Shollenberger on Lead Guitar, Corey Williams on Drums, Tim Reed on Bass Guitar and Vocals along with Dan Baney on Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, and Harmonica.

With a combination of rhythms and beats mixed with powerful Lead Vocals and sick instrumentals, Refuge dominates the house and paves the way to the party.

These local icons of Erie music have been playing out for more than a decade, entertaining countless fans and blowing up stages all over the area with devastating originals and wicked covers of the best and most popular hits Country music has to offer.

With super high throttle Country hits like Brooks & Dunn’s “Honky Tonk Stomp” and” Smoke A Little Smoke” by Eric Church, “Crazytown” by Jason Aldean, and Luke Bryan’s “Rain Is A Good Thing”, Refuge lets it rip and cranks up a blazing Country party.

Just to let you catch your breath, Refuge slows it down with songs like “Hillbilly Bone” by Blake Shelton and Keith Anderson’s “Pickin’ Wildflowers”.

With the hard pounding Country gold, slamming riffs, and scary mad beats, Refuge is going to rock this St. Patty’s day party the right way. The “Drink Til’ You’re Irish” St. Patty’s Day Bash at Doc Holliday’s with Refuge, don’t miss it.

Doc Holliday’s Country Bar is located at 7425 Schultz Road, just 1/2 mile north of the Presque Isle Downs Casino, and the party kicks off at 9:30pm.
