May 10 (Fri) – Mahoning Valley Gay/Straight Coalition Dinner and a Show (Regency House, 3704 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, OH 44515) We have lined up fantastic entertainers from the area to entertain everyone, including Natalie Sprouse, an amazing local singer who has just come out with a CD. Natalie is a versatile singer who sings bluegrass, jazz, rock, you name it, and she can sing it. Rodd Coonce, a local florist and bookstore owner who does singing at his place monthly in a cabaret style setting to a packed house. Wes Stevens, a bartender at Club 441 in Warren, has a wonderful talent of singing country songs in a voice that should be in Nashville. Frenchi Foxx, an impersonator who will have you laughing and applauding. “The Voice”, Denise Russell, who has traveled the United States with her live vocals and impersonations. Denise has appeared in every venue from local bars to casino shows, from one end of the county to the other and is renowned as the only female impersonator to be welcome to the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. You host for the evening and also performing is Crystal Starr, who is celebrating his 40th year as an entertainer. Crystal traveled extensively back in the heydays of the 70’s and 80’s. Retiring twice, he was repeatedly asked to return with his unique act. Crystal will surely get you to laugh, get you to cry, get you applauding. There will be a chinese auction of many baskets and goods donated from local businesses and some special celebrity items that were sent to us. There will be a 50/50 raffle also.
