This Weekend’s Hot Spot
The Fun Guns, Six Years After, and French Kiss at Sherlock’s
By Terry Pentelli
This Friday April 19th, Sherlock’s roars and rocks to the hard pounding sounds of three super sizzling bands that will break you down, turn you out with mind-warping music and wicked attitude.
Located at 508 State Street, for more than twenty years, Sherlock’s has been Erie’s one shop stop for bumping crowds, sweet sounds, sick drink specials and a slammin’ party vibe.
With a reputation for being the place to play and for hellacious madness on and off the stage, Sherlock’s brings the noise with popping fresh bands from all over Erie and the region, always ahead of the game and a beat apart from the other bars in town.
This Friday’s show kicks off at 10pm with fierce, fist pumping, ear candy cranking off the stage with music of the Classic Rock kings and eye-popping stage shows that will blow you away.
Giving Friday’s lineup a fresh feel “Six Years After” is made up of Steve Mischler on Lead Guitar, Nick Liberatore on Rhythm Guitar and Backup Vocals, James Davis on Bass Guitar and Backup Vocals, Glenn Davis on Percussion, and Steve Banta on Lead Vocals.
Churning out the best that Hard Rock and Alternative music has to offer, Erie’s newest Rock masters, Six Years After will bring the party and pound the sounds with raw and real, supercharged energy, firing up the stage and burning down the house.
As Erie’s newest Rock N’ Roll legends in the making, “The Fun Guns” are Nick Belluomini and Scott Moffat on Guitar and Vocals, Eric Collins on Bass Guitar, Mike Russell on Drums, with Jason Morgan on Lead Vocals.
Pumping out sick covers of bitchin’ songs like “Let It Ride” by BTO, “Lido Shuffle” by Boz Scaggs, “Workin’ For A Livin’ by Huey Lewis & The News, and “Listen To The Music” by The Doobie Brothers, along with many more, The Fun Guns are Erie’s freshest ass-kicking, balls to the walls band in town.
Rocking the Sherlock’s house, bringing a blast from the past with a bomb-ass stage show and savage energy, the Glam Metal wizards French Kiss, never stops the Rock and party’s with a vengeance, bringing everything 80’s Rock to every show.
With the “too much is never enough” attitude, French Kiss always gives that righteous classic Glam Metal madness with the most ridiculously insane covers of hits like “18 and Life” by Skid Row, “Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard, “Vacation” by The Go-Go’s, “Love Is What I Got” by Sublime, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns ‘N Roses along with “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Look What the Cat Dragged In”, both by Poison and too many more to name.
If this brutal lineup weren’t enough, the show will offer a raffle for a Sleek new Guitar from Dean Custom Zone. The sensuous curves and Classic Dean playability makes this Guitar a must have for any serious rocker. French Kiss will draw the winner at one of their upcoming Summer Blowout Bashes. Tickets are available at all French Kiss shows and are only $1.
This Friday at 10pm, party like Rock stars with French Kiss, Six Years After, and The Fun Guns, Erie’s most blazing hot bands, at the City’s craziest bar with the biggest all out double bomb blast of the weekend.
